Summer 2012
This has been an amazing summer! I have had the entire summer available for family time with no trainings! It has been awesome! We started our summer with a trip to Colorado which needs its own post coming soon.
Below are several pictures we have taken from our summer together. Heavy on the pictures with some captions. :) Enjoy!
The pictures below need some more explanation...the 2 older kids have been complaining a lot more about being scared at night. So our prayers have been centered around how strong the Lord is and how He is our fortress and strength in our times of trouble.
Psalm 27:1-3 The Lord is my Light and my Salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the Stronghold of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?
Psalm 18:1-3 I love you Lord, my Strength. The Lord is my Rock, my Fortress and my Deliverer; my God is my Rock, in whom I take refuge, my Shield, my Stronghold.
We finally got the kitchen cabinets in and they came in huge cardboard boxes. Justin had the bright idea during his quiet time one day to have the kids create 'God castles' to protect them. It is a physical symbol of how the Lord is with us always protecting us. They keep them in their rooms by their beds and it has been great! Plus it was a super fun summer project!

My favorite picture this summer- an impromptu photo taken before church one Sunday |
Adorable poses! These kids are so crazy! |
We had some outdoor splash time...complete with this little pool with slide (thanks Mom!) and the below baseball sprinkler. |
Swimsuits optional :) |
I think the swimsuits were actually in the washing machine since we have done a lot of swimming this summer! |
This photo is hilarious! Always the dramatic one! |
Even Daddy had some fun! |
While Mommy was in Galveston with Mimi and Aunt Bibi, Yaya and Grandad and Daddy took the kiddos to the Peach Festival in Weatherford. They had a blast as you can see below. |
Yaya lemonade time |
Balloon animals!!! |
Cuties! |
They also had some fun splash time at the Arlington Splash park. Swimsuits not optional here! ;) |
Sliding with some boys, haha! |

Madilyn and Daddy with their God-castle which was a representation of Rapunzel's castle |
We have had a great summer so far...we have a little less than 3 weeks left before I have to go back to work. But we are going to take advantage of every second!

Madilyn's 3rd Birthday
Madilyn is 3!! She had a My Little Pony party at the FBC play area. We had a blast! |
This is Madilyn's beautiful My Little Pony cake made by Yaya- it had an adorable Pony train that went all the way around! She loved it! |
Check out these beautiful girls admiring the cake! |
Some cutesy cousin time! I love how they were posing holding hands. And cousin Eli peeking in the background, love it! |
Madilyn was singing along with us "Happy Birthday to Madilyn"- gosh she is so beautiful! |
Blow out the candle! |
She finally got to play with her train! |
All of our friends and family watching as we are about to open presents. |
That's my girl! She got more excited about her Princess panties from Mimi and Papa than she did for most of her presents! LOL! |
Madilyn's reaction to when she saw her bike for the first time! Love it! |
Madilyn's beautiful new bike! |
Feliciti was following her to see if she could get a turn |
Daddy had a blast getting in the play area with Madilyn and snapped some cute shots while we was being a big kid! |
Beautiful sisters! |
Mikah's 6th Birthday
Mikah absolutely loves Chuck E Cheeses- so this year he asked us if we could have his birthday party there. Here he is with Chuck E himself! I can't believe my baby is already 6! |
Mikah's Yaya (Justin's mom) outdid herself again with this amazing Mario cake! |
They even had mushrooms all around it! |
I love this action shot of Mikah playing the soccer game! |
"Yeah I even got tickets!" Look how old he looks in this picture! |
Feliciti and her cousin Israel having a blast! |
Madilyn cheesing it up about to eat their pizza! |
Mikah about to blow out his candles with all his family and friends gathered around...this is my favorite part! |
