This has been an amazing summer! I have had the entire summer available for family time with no trainings! It has been awesome! We started our summer with a trip to Colorado which needs its own post coming soon.
Below are several pictures we have taken from our summer together. Heavy on the pictures with some captions. :) Enjoy!

My favorite picture this summer- an impromptu photo taken before church one Sunday |
Adorable poses! These kids are so crazy! |
We had some outdoor splash time...complete with this little pool with slide (thanks Mom!) and the below baseball sprinkler. |
Swimsuits optional :) |
I think the swimsuits were actually in the washing machine since we have done a lot of swimming this summer! |
This photo is hilarious! Always the dramatic one! |
Even Daddy had some fun! |
This furry 'little' lion was won last summer but the kids pull him out of the garage time and time again to play with. Notice the girl's hands-on-hips-pose...this is the new thing for my girls with the head tilt. LOL! |
While Mommy was in Galveston with Mimi and Aunt Bibi, Yaya and Grandad and Daddy took the kiddos to the Peach Festival in Weatherford. They had a blast as you can see below. |
Yaya lemonade time |
Balloon animals!!! |
Cuties! |
They also had some fun splash time at the Arlington Splash park. Swimsuits not optional here! ;) |
Sliding with some boys, haha! |
The pictures below need some more explanation...the 2 older kids have been complaining a lot more about being scared at night. So our prayers have been centered around how strong the Lord is and how He is our fortress and strength in our times of trouble.
Psalm 27:1-3 The Lord is my Light and my Salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the Stronghold of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?
Psalm 18:1-3 I love you Lord, my Strength. The Lord is my Rock, my Fortress and my Deliverer; my God is my Rock, in whom I take refuge, my Shield, my Stronghold.
We finally got the kitchen cabinets in and they came in huge cardboard boxes. Justin had the bright idea during his quiet time one day to have the kids create 'God castles' to protect them. It is a physical symbol of how the Lord is with us always protecting us. They keep them in their rooms by their beds and it has been great! Plus it was a super fun summer project!

We have had a great summer so far...we have a little less than 3 weeks left before I have to go back to work. But we are going to take advantage of every second!
